Luke truly is a miracle baby. This can not be possible without the hundreds of people praying for him. Thank you for all the prayers & mass intentions for our little one.

God is great! God is good! Life is precious and prayer is powerful! God is kind,He answered all the prayers offered for Michelle and her baby. You have won God’s favor for choosing to uphold life. Baby LukeGerard (am happy he had been a baptized) is now serving God already by moving a lot of people to prayer. Emma de Guzman prayed for both of them by acknowledging the text I sent her although she was on mission at the time and also the La Pieta prayer group here in Pittsburg. We will continue to pray for them and the family. Prayer to the Infant Jesus of Prague is powerful too! May our Lord Jesus bless you and Mama Mary shower you with love, peace and joy. I just wanted to say, we have similar stories. My son was born @ 31 weeks 3/9/12 but only weighing 1lb 3.5 oz. These micro preemies are so strong, its unbelievable. God bless your son, and you as well because it takes strong parents to get through so much. God is holding your little man close to his heart.. its amazing how far these babies come because like you guys, I was advised to terminate all the way up until week 24 but my little guy was so determined to prove the docs otherwise. Stay strong and keep faith. I pray Luke gets through his journey unscathed! As well as you parents! Take care.
A few Weeks back, I left a comment saying how our stories werre almost identical..other than my baby boy was older in gestational age when born but smaller than what he shouldve been. Well.. My son didnt make it. After finally reaching two pounds, he caught necrotizing enterocolitis and left to heaven the next day, April 26,2012 at six Weeks and six days old. It is such a miracle that little Luke didnt have to suffer through something so horrible and though it hurts me..I will continue to follow his story because he is such an inspiration. You guys have the ultimate fighter and I hope an end comes to your NICU days sooner than later. He is a beautiful boy, getting so big! Your family,is beyond blessed.

We’ve been praying for you and your family. We’re so sorry to hear the news! I can only imagine your mourning. I how tough it is. It’s hard to go day by day without knowing what possibly can happen in the NICU. I know that your son will always be with you – he’s earned wings big enough to fly high. Bless the soul of Luke Gerard. Keep him safe in your arms and grant him eternal rest in your kingdom. As much as he will be missed in our world, we have faith that he is serving a bigger purpose with you.

I had the privilege of being able to take care of Luke and watch him grow.

Occasionally I’d visit Luke’s blog to see how the lil’ precious fella’s been doing. And when I heard about the news the other day, my heart sank. My deepest deepest condolence to your family.
